Beautiful Moorhen! I wish one of ours would color its feathers purple, but no they are all black 🙂 Right now watching some big birds flying in the evening skies over Nairobi.
Another clue to purples is a pale blue “shield” above the beak. While they are not plentiful here it’s not uncommon to see a couple. We will get pictures of those birds?
All these colours are wonderful: of the birds and the nature. You cupture it perfectly.
