The (not so) Elusive Limpkin
Limpkins are plentiful at the park. But I never tire of seeing them. I watched this fella for a while and he was unable to acquire a snail, but was working very hard.

Here’s an instance where I wanted unlimited depth of field – guess maybe I need to investigate HDR (just thought of that while writing this – advantage 1000 of blogging).
In any case I wanted it to work so bad that I hit the saturation slider in Lightroom and here ya have it!
Wekiva Springs State Park

Wekiva Springs State Park is at the headwaters of the Wekiva River, which runs to the St Johns. This was my first trip to the park, it has many different upland habitats. It will be a great place to visit when the warblers and such start migrating.
