I’m not sure if the birds were hard to find this weekend or I am becoming more discriminating in what I photograph. In any case here are a couple of dragonflies.

Happy labor day to all here in the US – Heading to Merritt Island for some early morning photography. And thanks to the solar system for a later sunrise. while the difference between 6:20 and 7:00 may not seem like a lot – it’s huge at 5 AM in the morning. |:>).

There were several flocks of ibis flying around. Not sure where they were going – they do not migrate as far as I know. Maybe just looking for greener pastures. In early July we had enormous flocks of glossy ibis flying around the wetlands.

Great Falls National Park in Virginia is just north of Washington, DC on the Potomac River. I was fortunate to visit there while on a business trip last week.
Interestingly they do not have trash cans in the park, you must remove all your waste yourself. This includes soda cups and hot dog wrappers purchased in the park!
