Wekiva Springs State Park is at the headwaters of the Wekiva River, which runs to the St Johns. This was my first trip to the park, it has many different upland habitats. It will be a great place to visit when the warblers and such start migrating.

When you see the wildlife and scenery here it’s hard to imagine is that one end of the park – the springs – is a swimming hole that brings hundreds there daily for a day at the beach.
