Yes. I’ve never seen it happen, just spotted them. We have a curly tail lizard in Cocoa Beach that I’ve been unable to capture. Those are cool too.
The Carribian or Haitian curly tail came into South Florida, more specifically, on the island of Palm Beach about 30 years ago from a reptile collector who died. Now we have them all through south and apparently as far north as you. I don’t believe that they are invasive. Warning, if you ever manage to catch one they bite super hard. (I have several that keep my garage bug-free)
