Wood Stork – Orlando Wetlands Park – March 2016
“Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.”
– Leonardo Da Vinci
Recently(2014) upgraded from endangered to threatened. A small success in habitat restoration. During breeding season wood storks need about 400 lbs of fish for themselves and their chicks. More info at http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/birds/wood-stork/

Beautiful birds. Sad, they are coming to extinction.
They are actually on the way back – threatened is better than endangered. The babies are much cuter – hopefully I’ll get some in the next month or 2.
