“The eyesight for an eagle is what thought is to a man” – Dejan Stojanovic, Serbian Poet

The eagles talons, eyesight, and beak are formidable however the sound it makes is somewhat weak. Listen at http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Bald_Eagle/sounds

There it is! – Orlando Wetlands Park – April 2015

I took my wide angle lens out for a walk last Saturday. All my other dawn pics have been with a telephoto – hopefully you can get some idea of the size with these. And I didn’t miss any good bird pics on the way.

However an important tip, if you bring a lens case with a belt attachment — wear a belt!

Flower – Leu gardens – April 2015

Leu Gardens is a botanical garden run by the City of Orlando. Donated by Harry Leu in 1961and beautifully maintained.  And not in the style of the northern botanical gardens, with green houses filled with plants, these are all outside!!

There’s also an historic house and museum on premise that was started in the 1800’s and finished in the mid 1900’s.

“You can do anything, but not everything” – David Allen

That quote is a reminder to me!!

It’s dragonfly season in Central Florida – they are beautiful creatures. However, I feel like the a cartoon character with a butterfly net as I chase the dragon flies around the path with my camera.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing. you will be successful.”   – Albert Schweitzer

These two birds are so different that it is difficult to think they are the same species. As a side note I spend far to much time wondering about why males and females of different species are so different and how this supports survival.
