“I have always been contented, but never satisfied” – Henry Flagler

This is another view of the bird I posted last week and thought was a northern harrier. It turns out to be an immature bald eagle. I saw a post in the bird ID group from someone else that triggered more research. The white under the wings and the beak are telltail signs.

Green Heron and Fog

Green Heron in the Fog – Merritt Island – January 2016

“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods
