Saturday the dragonflies seemed as numerous as gnats. Never have I experienced that. It will be a good crop this year. Also spent some time with our Friends of the Orlando Wetlands resident dragonfly and butterfly experts – Randy and Mary. Amazing folks.

i remember how scared little me was when i saw a huuuge dragonfly, these days i realize how beautiful they can be ❤
They can be intimidating to the young, especially being called dragonflies. But they are beautiful – and harmless, unless you are a smaller bug.|;>)
You had me thinking for a moment how we call them here in Germany (talking English too much I guess) back then I only knew them as Libelle and well, i was small but still bigger than that guy ^_^ ❤
